Beautiful 2 bedroom apartment in the Georgian quarter. Modern and fully refurbished March 2023. This amazing apartment in a beautiful Georgian building in Faulkner Square is an amazing place to base yourself for a trip to the city. The apartment is on the 1st floor up one flight of stairs. Entering the apartment you'll be in the large spacious hallway that runs the length of the apartment. The first room on the right is the fully fitted and fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. Containing everything you could need to whip up a 3 course gourmet meal or prepare a light snack. The next room you'll come to on the left is the large spacious lounge with 50" flat screen smart TV, plenty of comfortable seating and also dining table. The 2 double bedrooms contain plenty of storage for clothes etc. They also have a flat screen smart TV in each bedroom. The family bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, sink and W.C. Guests will have access to the whole apartment. Falkner Square is named after Edward Falkner, soldier and Sheriff of Lancashire, who mustered 1000 men in a single hour for the defence of Liverpool in 1797 when a French invasion threatened. He wanted it called Wellington Square. It dates from 1835 and was one of the city's first open public spaces. However, at the time it was unpopular and considered too far out of town, especially as regards to the long uphill hike for horse-drawn vehicles. The townspeople nicknamed it Falkner's Folly, on account of the land being formerly known as Moss Lake Fields. Following construction, many of the houses remained vacant as prospective buyers were concerned the houses may subside due to being built on marshy ground; in response, Falkner drained part of the land and redirected the creek, and in due course the area become popular. During World War II, the public garden was utilised as a location for air-raid shelters, though it was fully reinstated after the war and now forms part of the Georgian Quarter. Today, the area is maintained by Liverpool City Council, who have restored cobbles and original period street furniture. In 1993, on the 50th anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic a war memorial was installed to commemorate black and Commonwealth seamen who served during World War 2.

The apartment was very neat & moreless modern, situated very close to Liverpool University. Lime St. Station, the Shopping Centre, restaurants, bars, hotels, and more are all in reasonably close proximity. All amenities listed were given. Their team was very responsive + helpful. The entire apartment was clean upon entry but for 1 concern. We noticed many strands of someone else's hair, as well as dirt marks on pillow cases in both bedrooms. We opted to wash the pillow cases ourselves. Checkin was a bit inconvenient because we had to collect and return the key at a store 0.6 miles away, rather than being able to access it and return it via a lockbox on site. Overall it was a genuinely comfortable stay besides the minor concerns. Thanks for your service. 4/5
